- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, every other weekend and holiday
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
- Charting System: Epic
- Unit Size: 10 beds
- Patient Ratio: 5:1 on days, 6:1 on nights
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in North Dakota or a compact state, or willingness to obtain
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- At least 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute-care hospital setting
- Recent travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Experience in a large hospital setting with 250+ beds and a Level II or higher trauma center
- Epic experience preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary care team members
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to general Med/Surg patients in a fast-paced acute-care environment
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Work within the full scope of RN practice while following age- and population-specific standards
- Administer medications and use unit equipment and technology, including Epic, AccuDose, bladder scanner, Phillips monitors, and telemetry systems
- Float to other Med/Surg units on any campus in the Fargo area as needed
- Maintain strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork on a medical-surgical nursing team
