- Schedule: 3 shifts per week
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Orientation: Bi-weekly orientation with 36 hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,360 - $2,480
- Charting System: Epic
- Floating: Between High Risk and L&D
- Availability: Open availability required; no blocked scheduling
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Active North Carolina RN license or Compact RN license in hand
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications in hand
- Epic charting experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible
- Experience in high-risk, high-acuity maternal and women's health care settings
- Supervisory reference within the last year required
- Flu vaccine required
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and high-risk perinatal patients
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency obstetric interventions
- Monitor and manage patients receiving magnesium, insulin, and PCA infusions
- Support labor inductions, spontaneous labor, epidural management, and newborn recovery care
- Care for high-risk pregnancies and complicated postpartum patients
- Perform fetal monitoring and respond to changes in fetal heart rate patterns
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient outcomes
- Document accurately in Epic and maintain strong clinical communication throughout the shift
