• Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel Nurse)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Durham, NC 27710
• Start Date: 09/08/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360 - $2,480
• Schedule: Open availability required; every other weekend required
• Floating: May float between High Risk and Labor & Delivery
• Charting System: Epic

Job Requirements

• 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Active North Carolina RN license or Compact RN license in hand
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and comfort in a high-acuity obstetric setting
• Ability to provide a recent supervisory reference
• Must be able to meet onboarding and compliance deadlines

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to antepartum, laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients
• Monitor and manage patients receiving magnesium, insulin, and PCA therapies
• Assist with inductions, spontaneous labor, epidural management, and post-birth recovery
• Support operative obstetric care including cesarean sections, D&C, D&E, cerclage, and OR recovery
• Care for high-risk neonates and support newborn stabilization during the recovery period
• Manage hemorrhage interventions and assist with emergency obstetric response as needed
• Perform fetal monitoring, triage, patient education, and discharge teaching
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, coordinated patient care
