- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Schedule: Mid-shift options (10A–10P, 11A–11P, or 1P–1A)
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
- Call: No on-call required at this time
- Unit Type: Emergency Department
- Patient Population: Adult and pediatric emergency care, with exposure to a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required; 3+ years preferred
- Prior Emergency Department, Emergency Room, or Critical Care experience preferred
- Travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS required
- ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire if not already held
- NIHSS, CPI, and CEN preferred
- Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam
- Comfort working in a high-stress, fast-moving clinical environment
- Strong assessment, prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills
- EPIC EHR familiarity preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with urgent, emergent, trauma, and life-threatening conditions in the Emergency Department
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies
- Monitor patients closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Coordinate care with physicians, ED techs, respiratory therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members
- Support triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and ongoing patient evaluation
- Care for patients requiring drips, lines, drains, oxygen therapy, and advanced monitoring
- Use critical thinking to prioritize multiple patients in a fast-paced emergency care setting
- Promote patient safety, quality care, and positive outcomes
- Maintain professionalism, compassion, and clear communication throughout each shift
