• Position: PACU RN Travel Nurse
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: McKinney, TX 75069
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• End Date: 12/14/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
• Call Requirement: 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month
• Floating: As needed

Job Requirements

• Current Texas RN license or compact RN license eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of PACU nursing or closely related perioperative nursing experience
• Strong clinical assessment, monitoring, and post-anesthesia recovery skills
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts with call responsibilities
• Proficiency with electronic medical documentation and adaptable clinical workflow
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to patients recovering from anesthesia in the PACU
• Monitor vital signs, pain levels, airway status, and overall patient stability
• Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Prepare patients for discharge or transfer based on recovery criteria
• Collaborate closely with surgical, anesthesia, and nursing teams
• Maintain accurate documentation throughout the recovery process
• Support a smooth, patient-centered experience throughout the perioperative journey
