• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts, days and nights
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Float Areas: Same patient population support as needed

Job Requirements

• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty
• Minimum 18 months of recent stepdown nursing experience
• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with ECG rhythm recognition, cardiac monitoring, and medication safety assessments preferred
• Must be available to work every other holiday
• One qualifying reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty
• Ability to complete pre-start onboarding requirements and annual competency expectations

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for cardiac stepdown patients with complex and evolving needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess patient status, and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, effective patient recovery
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and unit protocols
• Document patient care accurately and maintain strong clinical communication
• Support patient education, discharge readiness, and continuity of care
• Adapt to rotating shifts and occasional float assignments within the same patient population
