• Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Shift Duration: 12-hour days
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
• On-Call: Required; 30-minute response time
• On-Call Schedule: 2 - 10 hour on-call shifts every 8 weeks
• Unit Highlights: 9 pre-op beds, 5 Phase 2 recovery beds
• EMR: Meditech

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care Pre-Op RN hospital experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience in PACU, pre-op nursing, or Phase 2 recovery preferred
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced surgical environment
• Preferred: Familiarity with Meditech and same-day surgery workflows

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient pre-operative nursing care for surgical and procedural patients
• Support Phase 2 recovery for a variety of patients, including urology, GYN, and other same-day surgery cases
• Care for patients scheduled for surgery, endoscopy, cath lab, EP, CT, outpatient infusions, outpatient EKGs, blocks, and blood transfusions
• Monitor patients closely and maintain appropriate patient ratios in a high-quality perioperative care environment
• Collaborate with physicians, providers, and nursing staff to ensure excellent patient flow and communication
• Respond to on-call assignments as needed and maintain readiness for urgent patient care needs
