• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: May float to other acute care units within the hospital
• Call: May be required if needed due to low census
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Charting System: Epic

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience required
• Previous travel nurse experience required; seasoned traveler preferred
• Active compact or state Texas RN license in hand at submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of approximately 1:5 to 1:6
• Strong clinical skills in telemetry and Med/Surg nursing
• Ability to float to additional acute care units as needed
• Comfortable working a schedule that includes weekends and holiday coverage as assigned

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and therapies according to established standards of care
• Perform line care, wound care, IV management, and other common acute care nursing tasks
• Support patients requiring oxygen therapy, high-flow nasal cannula, and related respiratory interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
• Maintain professional flexibility to float to other acute care areas within the hospital
• Promote a safe, efficient, and patient-centered care environment
