Travel Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse needed in Lubbock, Texas for a 13-week acute care assignment. Join a supportive short-term acute care hospital team and provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Level II Trauma Center environment.

• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,740 - $1,840
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Start Date: September 21, 2026
• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required; may float to other acute care units as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the applicable state; compact license required at submission if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• Travel nursing experience required; seasoned traveler preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with telemetry, med/surg nursing, and acute care patient management
• Ability to care for adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Strong clinical skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, IV management, blood product administration, and wound care
• Comfortable floating to other acute care units within the hospital
• Willingness to work holiday coverage as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Med/Surg Tele nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
• Monitor telemetry, assess cardiac rhythms, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Manage IV therapy, central line care, feeding tubes, heparin protocols, and insulin protocols as assigned
• Support oxygen therapy, high-flow nasal cannula, and other respiratory-related care needs
• Perform assessments, document in Epic, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Assist with wound care, rapid response support, and other unit-based clinical needs
• Float to other acute care departments when required
• Maintain professionalism, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach in a busy hospital environment
