Experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse needed for a travel nursing job in Salt Lake City, Utah. - Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Shift Duration: 12 hours
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Contract Duration: 12 weeks
- Start Date: 09/14/2026
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
- Location: Salt Lake City, UT 84124
- Schedule Notes: Rotating weekends, approximately 4 weekend shifts per month
- Floating: Postpartum

Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Current RN license in good standing
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NRP certification
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification; AWHONN preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced obstetric environment
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability
- Comfort working with high-risk obstetric patients and responding to emergencies
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for laboring patients, antepartum patients, and patients in triage
- Monitor fetal heart patterns and interpret fetal monitoring data
- Manage inductions, augmentations, vaginal deliveries, and immediate postpartum care
- Circulate cesarean sections and assist during obstetric emergencies
- Support high-risk pregnancies, including patients receiving magnesium sulfate or insulin drips
- Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, anesthesia, NICU, and postpartum teams
- Respond calmly and efficiently to urgent maternal and fetal changes
- Deliver patient-centered care with a positive, collaborative approach
