Job Details

• Position: Emergency Room RN / Emergency Department Registered Nurse
• Location: Keyser, WV
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980-$2,080
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 3p-3a
• Schedule: Weekends as scheduled, including every other weekend
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Unit Type: Emergency Department
• Patient Care Setting: Acute care
• Charting System: EPIC
• Medication System: Pyxis

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department or ER nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency room with variable patient acuity
• Ability to work scheduled weekends
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and efficient care to emergency department patients
• Perform patient assessments, monitor conditions, and respond quickly to changes in acuity
• Administer medications and treatments according to clinical standards and provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Document care accurately in EPIC
• Support emergency interventions and assist with prioritizing care for multiple patients
• Maintain professionalism in a dynamic, team-oriented acute care environment
• Help ensure smooth patient flow in a busy 8-bed Emergency Department
