• Unit Size: 8 beds
• Average Daily Census: 29
• Patient Ratio: Typically 1:2, with potential up to 1:4

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS and PALS certifications required
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity emergency department
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
• Ability to work nights and scheduled weekends

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled, compassionate patient care for urgent and emergent conditions in the emergency department
• Perform thorough assessments, triage, and ongoing patient monitoring in a busy ER setting
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver timely, effective treatment
• Administer medications and treatments safely using established protocols and Pyxis
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Epic
• Prioritize care for multiple patients while maintaining high standards of safety, responsiveness, and clinical excellence
• Support smooth patient flow and contribute to a positive team environment
