• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Charting System: EPIC ASAP
• Schedule Notes: Nights with every other weekend coverage; rotating day shifts may be requested at a low frequency
• Parking: Free on-site parking

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Nursing or Emergency Room RN experience
• Active Massachusetts RN license
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience with patient assessment, documentation, IV therapy, phlebotomy, EKGs, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, and patient education
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills
• Experience in a fast-paced emergency care setting preferred
• Ability to float as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse emergency department patient population
• Assess patients, prioritize care, and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Perform core ED nursing duties including IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, and cardiac monitoring
• Deliver patient education and support families throughout the care process
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC ASAP
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, efficient patient flow
• Support care in the pediatric pod and acute mental health area when needed
• Adapt to rotating unit needs while maintaining a calm, professional presence in a high-acuity environment
