• Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Nursing Assignment
• Setting: Acute Care / Med Surg-Progressive Care Stepdown Unit
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: 3x12s with a 36-hour weekly guarantee
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,090-$2,200
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Orientation: 2-3 days with a preceptor
• Charting System: Allscripts
• Location: Show Low, AZ 85901

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 2 years of nursing experience required; 3 years preferred
• 1-2 years of telemetry experience, including Med Surg acute care experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong clinical knowledge in cardiac stepdown, telemetry, and progressive care nursing
• Ability to work night shifts and rotate every other weekend
• Comfortable floating to other Med Surg units as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to stepdown and telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, validating telemetry findings as needed
• Administer medications and therapies commonly used in cardiac and progressive care, following established protocols
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Care for patients with diagnoses such as AMI, stroke/TIA, pneumonia, renal issues, Afib RVR, SIRS, and diabetes
• Collaborate closely with physicians, charge nurses, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and support staff to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Float to other Med Surg units when needed and support team-based care across the unit
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit standards in a fast-paced acute care environment
