- Position: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (Travel RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
- Location: Meridian, Idaho
- Metro Area: Boise, Idaho
- Start Date: September 14, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Shift Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, weekends as needed, first to float
- Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,400 - $2,530
- Setting: Acute care Women's Services / Labor & Delivery
- Charting System: EPIC
- Orientation: Typically 4-6 shifts, customized to each traveler
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Experience with postpartum care and circulating in C-sections required
- Triage experience strongly preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NRP certification
- STABLE certification, taken at least once
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
- Ability to titrate drips per protocol
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented acute care unit
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care for laboring, antepartum, postpartum, and well newborn patients
- Monitor patients during labor and support safe, family-centered deliveries
- Circulate for cesarean sections and assist with OR procedures as needed
- Manage triage assessments and respond appropriately to changing patient conditions
- Titrate medications such as Pitocin, magnesium, and other ordered drips per protocol
- Collaborate closely with the healthcare team, including charge support, resource support, and provider coverage
- Float to like units within the valley when needed
- Maintain accurate EPIC documentation and deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care
