• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
• Unit Setting: Adult acute inpatient Progressive Care / Telemetry
• Schedule Notes: Minimum every other weekend; holidays may be required based on unit needs
• Float Requirement: Yes, with assignment to the Resource Float Team as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in New York, or proof of license application at the time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing or progressive care nursing experience required
• 1 year of clinical experience in specialty care required
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS required
• NIHSS required prior to start
• Recent EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
• Experience with adult cardiac patients and telemetry monitoring strongly preferred
• Ability to work nights, every other weekend, and assigned holiday coverage
• Strong critical thinking skills and comfort with high-acuity monitoring

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive nursing care for adult patients in a Cardiac Stepdown/PCU environment
• Monitor patients with acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, hemodynamic instability, and other cardiac diagnoses
• Manage and titrate insulin drips, cardiac drips, and other closely monitored infusions per protocol
• Perform IV starts, post-cardiac cath care, and frequent patient assessments
• Care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring, advanced observation, and respiratory support as needed
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, effective patient outcomes
• Adapt to float team assignments and support appropriate units when needed
• Document accurately in EPIC and follow unit-specific policies and procedures
