• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,980 - $2,080
• Weekend / On-Call: Rotating requirement, approximately 2 to 4 shifts per month each
• Floating: May float across Med/Surg departments as needed
• Charting System: EPIC electronic health record (EHR)
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-6

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of employment or a compact nursing license
• BLS certification through AHA required
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg or related acute care nursing experience required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to float assignments within the Med/Surg service line
• Experience working with electronic health records, preferably EPIC

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical-surgical nursing care using the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments according to established hospital protocols and patient care plans
• Monitor patients for treatment effectiveness, changes in condition, and potential side effects
• Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, interventions, and care delivered accurately and on time in EPIC
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care plans, discharge needs, learning needs, and available resources
• Support patients and families with complex emotional, psychological, cultural, and social needs
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team to maintain safe, efficient patient care
• Delegate appropriately and respond quickly to changes in patient status in a fast-paced acute care environment
