- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Shift Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with varied day/night rotation as scheduled
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
- Charting System: EPIC
- Weekend/Holiday Expectations: Weekends and holidays as scheduled; holiday coverage may be needed
- Floating: May float to PICU, Inpatient Pediatrics, or Labor & Delivery
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level III NICU or higher
- BLS and NRP required
- EPIC experience preferred
- Strong assessment skills with experience in IV therapy and medication administration
- Experience with feeding, ventilator care, and CPAP care preferred
- Comfort working with high-acuity neonatal patients, including micro preemies, surgical cases, BPD, NAS, genetic anomalies, and cardiac diagnoses
- Ability to work rotating shifts and support weekends/holidays as scheduled
- License in good standing and ready to submit
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled, compassionate nursing care to critically ill and fragile newborns in the NICU
- Perform thorough neonatal assessments and monitor patient status closely
- Administer medications and support IV therapies under provider orders
- Assist with feeding, ventilator support, and CPAP care as needed
- Manage titratable drips under MD order when appropriate
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Support safe, family-centered care in a high-acuity neonatal care environment
- Adapt to floating assignments as needed across related pediatric and maternal-child units
