Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600
• Assignment Length: 16 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Setting: Emergency Department / Emergency Room (ER)
• Patient Population: Newborn through geriatric patients
• Location: Middlebury, VT — a charming Vermont community with scenic surroundings and a relaxed, supportive atmosphere
• Weekend/Holiday Expectations: Every other weekend required; flexibility needed for holidays
• Floating: No floating required
• Documentation System: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience
• At least 1 completed travel nursing assignment required
• Recent Epic experience within the past 2 years required
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, NRP, and NIHSS
• Charge nurse experience highly preferred
• Experience in a critical access, rural, or community ED setting is preferred
• Comfortable with transport support when needed
• Reliable transportation required due to limited public transit in the area

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Perform ESI triage, IV insertion, and medication and drip management
• Monitor and interpret EKGs and support procedural sedation workflows
• Assist with restraint application, patient transports, and ambulance transfers as needed
• Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and ED support staff
• Support safe, efficient care in a 10–14 bed emergency department
• Maintain strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a high-acuity clinical environment
• Help orient or precept new team members when appropriate
