Job Details

• Position: Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Albany, Georgia
• Type: Travel nursing assignment
• Duration: 17 weeks
• Start Date: September 14, 2026
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Shift Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Openings: 2
• Charting System: MEDITECH
• Care Setting: Acute care Med/Surg unit

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required, including at least 1 travel assignment
• BLS certification through AHA required
• NIHSS certification through AHA required
• Experience with MEDITECH electronic health record preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a team-based acute care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to patients in an acute care setting
• Assess patients, monitor changes in condition, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
• Administer medications and treatments according to the plan of care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support patient recovery and discharge planning
• Document accurately and consistently in the electronic health record
• Maintain patient ratios of approximately 1:5, with potential for 1:6 based on unit needs
• Float as needed to support other acute care and cardio units for medical or patient-hold coverage
