Job Requirements

• 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or a related acute care nursing specialty required
• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
• Required credentials must be active and available; pending items are not accepted
• Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate during orientation with a passing score
• Must meet facility compliance requirements, including background and fingerprint processing timelines
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination requirements apply, with approved exemptions only

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and document nursing care accurately and efficiently
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support individualized patient care plans
• Provide patient education, discharge support, and ongoing clinical observation
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and a positive patient experience in a fast-paced hospital environment
