Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of surgical nursing experience
• Bachelor's degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in perioperative, scrub, or circulating nurse roles preferred
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and operating room safety practices
• Ability to adapt quickly in a team-focused surgical environment
• Experience with travel nursing, acute care, or surgical services is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care, including preoperative assessment, care plan development, implementation, and postoperative evaluation
• Assist with operating room setup by assembling equipment and supplies using sterile technique
• Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning, site preparation, and confirmation of procedure and site
• Support safe transport of patients to and from the operating table
• Perform and document surgical counts, including sponges, sharps, and instruments
• Maintain accurate legal nursing records and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care provided
• Assist with post-operative operating room cleanup and proper disposal of supplies and sharps
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to promote safe patient outcomes
