Job Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty
• Minimum of 18 months of recent Surgical ICU experience; travel nurse experience may be considered
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager (ANM), supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
• Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Availability to work at least every other holiday
• Must meet all pre-start compliance requirements and onboarding timelines

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to critically ill surgical patients in the ICU
• Monitor patient status closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Administer medications, manage drips, and support ventilated or complex patients as indicated
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver coordinated care
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Use strong clinical judgment, prioritization, and critical thinking in a high-acuity critical care setting
• Participate in orientation, competency validation, and required assessments
• Maintain professionalism, reliability, and flexibility throughout the travel nursing assignment
