Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse - CVOR
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: Akron, OH
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,370 - $2,500
- Schedule: 4x10-hour day shifts
- Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Hours Per Week: 40
- On-Call: Required; rotation details discussed during interview
- Orientation: 16 hours
Job Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty
- At least 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience preferred
- Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
- Current AHA BLS certification
- Recent manager, ANM, supervisor, or director reference in the specialty
- Experience scrubbing open heart and vascular cases, including wired vascular procedures
- Must complete required pre-start compliance steps and assessments
Responsibilities
- Scrub and support open heart and vascular procedures in the operating room
- Assist with high-acuity CVOR cases while maintaining a safe, sterile environment
- Prepare the OR and ensure supplies, equipment, and instruments are ready for procedures
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative team members
- Provide high-quality patient care throughout the surgical workflow
- Participate in on-call coverage as assigned
- Follow all facility standards, documentation expectations, and clinical protocols
