Job Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or a similar acute care setting
• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the last 12 months
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination compliance required, with exemptions allowed only as noted by policy
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate must be successfully completed during orientation
• Required compliance documentation, screening, and onboarding items must be completed on time
• Prior experience in telemetry nursing, med surg, or acute care hospital nursing preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, telemetry readings, and patient status, responding appropriately to changes in condition
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical protocols and best practices
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to support optimal outcomes
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
• Maintain a strong focus on patient safety, communication, and high standards of care
• Adapt quickly to unit workflows, priorities, and patient needs during the travel assignment
