Job Requirements
- Valid Oklahoma RN license or multistate RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
- Working knowledge of emergency nursing, disease state management, clinical pathways, and the biopsychosocial model
- Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills
- Ability to remain detail-oriented when reviewing clinical and numerical data
- 0-6 months of related experience required; prior emergency room nursing experience is highly valued
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
- Create and individualize plans of care based on unit guidelines and patient needs
- Provide patient-centered care that reflects cultural, psychosocial, and age-specific considerations
- Prioritize nursing tasks and respond effectively to changing patient and unit conditions in the emergency department
- Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and patient progress accurately and clearly in the EMR
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Support patient education, discharge planning, and appropriate referrals
- Participate in quality improvement efforts, education activities, and mandatory in-services
- Complete variance reports and maintain professional standards in a dynamic acute care setting
