Job Requirements

• Valid Oklahoma RN license or multistate RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
• Working knowledge of emergency nursing, disease state management, clinical pathways, and the biopsychosocial model
• Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills
• Ability to remain detail-oriented when reviewing clinical and numerical data
• 0-6 months of related experience required; prior emergency room nursing experience is highly valued

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
• Create and individualize plans of care based on unit guidelines and patient needs
• Provide patient-centered care that reflects cultural, psychosocial, and age-specific considerations
• Prioritize nursing tasks and respond effectively to changing patient and unit conditions in the emergency department
• Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and patient progress accurately and clearly in the EMR
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Support patient education, discharge planning, and appropriate referrals
• Participate in quality improvement efforts, education activities, and mandatory in-services
• Complete variance reports and maintain professional standards in a dynamic acute care setting
