Job Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Mother/Baby, postpartum, or maternal-newborn nursing experience
  • Advanced NRP certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Experience with couplet care in a mother-baby or postpartum setting
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced unit with a 1:2 patient ratio
  • Ability to float to Labor & Delivery or assist with sitter tasks on other units as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality bedside nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns
  • Monitor couplets and support safe, family-centered recovery
  • Assess patients, document care accurately, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
  • Support mothers recovering from hysterectomy or other maternal-newborn related needs
  • Respond to changing patient conditions with professionalism and strong clinical judgment
  • Maintain a safe, compassionate, and efficient care environment
  • Help cover weekends, holidays, and floating assignments as required
