We are seeking an experienced Mother/Baby RN, Postpartum Nurse, or Couplet Care Registered Nurse who is confident in high-risk obstetric postpartum care and ready to make an impact every shift. • Weekend Coverage: Required
• Float: May be required to nearby postpartum and labor & delivery recovery areas

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in good standing; compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Mother/Baby, postpartum, or high-risk obstetric nursing experience
• Experience caring for high-acuity postpartum patients and managing up to 4 couplets
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with magnesium therapy, Pitocin, Foley management, postpartum hemorrhage, and substance withdrawal care
• Strong communication, prioritization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday coverage as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate postpartum nursing care for mothers and newborns in a high-volume hospital setting
• Monitor and assess couplets, including fundus, lochia, perineum care, and newborn adaptation
• Support recovery following vaginal delivery and cesarean section
• Administer and manage therapies such as magnesium sulfate and Pitocin as ordered
• Recognize and respond quickly to postpartum hemorrhage and other obstetric complications
• Deliver patient and family education to support recovery, bonding, and discharge readiness
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to provide coordinated, high-quality maternal newborn care
• Float to related postpartum or recovery areas when needed
