• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Charting System: Epic
• Work Setting: Adult critical care float pool with floating to ICU, MS, and low-level monitoring as needed

ICU RN Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU/CVICU experience required
• Active Pennsylvania or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience in a large teaching hospital and Trauma Level I environment required
• Strong Epic charting experience required
• Adult and geriatric critical care experience preferred
• Ability to float across critical care units and take up to 4 patients when assigned outside the ICU
• Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to changing patient acuity
• Valid references and required submission documents must be available

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for adult critical care patients with varying acuity levels
• Provide care across multiple ICU specialties, including medical, surgical, cardiac, trauma/neuro, neuroscience, and burn settings
• Monitor and manage patients requiring vasoactive drips, cardiac drips, sedation, ventilator support, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Support patients undergoing complex procedures and post-operative recovery in a critical care setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Float to other critical care or lower-acuity units as needed while maintaining safe, efficient patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
• Promote a safe, compassionate, and responsive environment for patients and families
