Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Setting: Med/Surg acute care hospital
• Location: Geneva, NY 14456
• Start Date: 9/21/2026
• Contract Duration: 23 weeks
• Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week
• Shifts: 3 shifts per week; 12-hour rotating day/night shifts
• Additional Scheduling Details: Every other weekend, holidays, and 2 on-call shifts every 4 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,960 - $2,070

Job Requirements

• Active New York State RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current NIHSS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Registered Nurse experience
• Experience caring for adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient education skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as a Medical-Surgical RN with a compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Assess patient and family needs and develop individualized plans of care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Monitor patient progress and adjust nursing care based on changing conditions and priorities
• Administer medications and complete nursing interventions safely and accurately
• Educate patients and families on self-care, lifestyle changes, and discharge planning
• Promote patient safety, privacy, and infection prevention at all times
• Support a healing environment by building trust, offering emotional support, and communicating effectively
• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and education thoroughly and accurately
