Job Details
- Position: Telemetry Registered Nurse (Travel Nurse)
- Setting: Acute care telemetry unit
- Location: Meridian, Idaho
- Start Date: 09/21/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Schedule: Weekends as needed; first to float
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
- Charting System: EPIC
- Openings: 2
- Orientation: System onboarding plus 2 orientation shifts
Job Requirements
- Current RN license and eligibility to work in Idaho
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience in an acute care or hospital setting
- BSN required
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Experience with cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring
- Experience with NIH stroke assessments
- Post-cath recovery experience preferred
- Chest tube experience required
- Ability to float to like units and Med/Surg as needed
- Comfortable with weekends, holidays, and a flexible travel nursing schedule
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for telemetry patients with conditions such as CHF, NSTEMI, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, CAD, renal failure, and respiratory failure
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient status, and communicate promptly with the care team
- Document and interpret telemetry strips according to unit standards
- Care for post-cath patients and support chest tube management
- Manage common medications and infusions such as diltiazem and amiodarone per protocol
- Work collaboratively with charge nurses, nursing assistants, respiratory therapy, and other interdisciplinary staff
- Float to like units, Med/Surg, and other appropriate areas when needed
- Maintain safe, compassionate, and efficient care in a fast-paced acute care environment
