This 13-week travel nursing assignment is ideal for an experienced NICU nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and is committed to making a meaningful difference for fragile infants and their families. You will care for neonates with complex medical and surgical needs, including preemies, cardiac patients, and infants requiring advanced respiratory support.

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 15, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Schedule: Approximately 3 shifts per week; rotating weekends and holidays
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 1:4
• Floating: May float to Pediatrics, PICU, or CICU as needed for patients up to 2 years old

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Level III NICU experience required
• Experience caring for preemies, including infants 28 weeks gestation and above
• Experience with surgical and cardiac patients preferred
• Ability to manage central lines and provide respiratory care, including intubated patients
• Experience with trach infants and broviacs strongly preferred
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork in a high-acuity neonatal environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and developmentally appropriate care to critically ill newborns
• Monitor and support infants requiring nasal cannula, bubble CPAP, ventilators, oscillators, and other advanced neonatal equipment
• Manage complex neonatal cases involving respiratory support, central lines, and specialized interventions
• Care for infants with surgical and cardiac conditions in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
• Assist with procedures performed on the unit, including central line insertions and other neonatal interventions
• Document patient care accurately in the unit’s clinical systems
• Collaborate with RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and other team members to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Maintain professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to excellent family-centered care
