Travel Nurse Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Weekend Rotation: 2 weekends per month
• Floating: May float to Med Surg units or assist as a sitter
• EMR: Epic preferred

Psych RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Washington or a compact state
• Minimum 1 year of psych nursing experience required
• Med-surg or acute care experience preferred
• Experience with psychiatric assessments, de-escalation, and physical restraints
• Current BLS certification
• CPI or MOAB certification required
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient safety skills
• First-time travelers welcome to apply

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to adults with behavioral health needs
• Complete psychiatric assessments and monitor changes in patient condition
• Support patients experiencing schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, suicidal ideation, dementia with behaviors, and other acute psychiatric conditions
• Use therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe environment
• Assist with crisis intervention and manage behavioral emergencies appropriately
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support individualized care plans
• Float as needed to support unit operations and patient safety
