Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required; behavioral health nursing or psychiatric nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience in an inpatient psychiatric unit, acute care, or mental health setting preferred
• Ability to support both adult and adolescent patient populations
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Comfort with clinical decision-making, prioritization, patient safety, and de-escalation in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to complete required onboarding and compliance items

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care and patient/family support within the full RN scope of practice
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate individualized psychiatric care
• Address the physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of behavioral health patients
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, effective, evidence-based care
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and teammates
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold established standards of nursing practice
• Apply critical thinking to prioritize care, respond to changes in patient condition, and manage unexpected events
• Support a therapeutic, patient-centered environment and contribute positively to team morale
• Demonstrate leadership, flexibility, and a strong commitment to quality patient outcomes
