Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• At least 2 years of experience in Telemetry and/or Med-Surg acute care preferred; 3 years preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience caring for progressive care, stepdown, or telemetry patients
• Strong clinical judgment and comfort managing a telemetry-focused patient population
• Ability to adapt quickly in a collaborative, fast-paced hospital environment
• BSN not required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for cardiac stepdown and progressive care patients
• Monitor telemetry patients and validate rhythm interpretations as needed
• Administer and manage medications commonly used in stepdown care
• Care for patients with diagnoses such as AMI, stroke/TIA, pneumonia, renal disease, atrial fibrillation with RVR, SIRS, and diabetes
• Collaborate with charge nurses, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and support staff to deliver coordinated patient care
• Float to other medical-surgical units as needed
• Document care accurately using the facility charting system
• Contribute to a supportive team environment focused on patient safety and quality outcomes
