Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience preferred
• Current Wisconsin RN license
• AHA Provider Level BLS certification
• AHA Provider Level ACLS certification
• Education verification required
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work independently while supporting interdisciplinary care

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care in the outpatient dialysis setting
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and clinic policies
• Document patient care accurately and consistently according to standards of practice
• Develop and execute individualized care plans based on patient needs and provider direction
• Educate patients and families to support understanding of treatment plans and care goals
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team members to promote positive patient outcomes
• Use critical thinking to identify safety concerns and escalate appropriately when needed
• Participate in quality improvement and shared governance activities as appropriate
• Support continuity of care by using clinical expertise to assist the broader care team
