• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: None
• Floating: Required to float to ICU and inpatient units including Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED as needed
• Orientation: Structured unit and system orientation provided
• EMR: Epic

Job Requirements

• Active Kansas RN license or compact RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification required
• 2 years of recent critical care, ICU, emergency department, or progressive care nursing experience required
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently
• Experience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and drawing labs
• Comfortable working without a vascular access team and managing consults and codes independently
• Open-heart Day 2 or Day 3 experience with pacer wires preferred
• Must be comfortable with a patient ratio of 3:1 to 4:1
• Ability to complete required onboarding and credentialing within assigned timelines
• Must comply with a nicotine-free facility policy

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to progressive care patients with complex medical needs
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and respond quickly to evolving conditions
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and coordinate treatment plans
• Support patients requiring respiratory support and hemodynamic interventions
• Manage IV therapy, lab draws, and procedural support as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, critical care staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective patient care
• Float to ICU and other inpatient areas based on staffing needs and experience
• Participate in holiday coverage and every-other-weekend scheduling
• Document care accurately in the Epic EMR system
• Bring a team-oriented, adaptable approach to a fast-paced clinical environment
