Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 3 years of overall Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
• At least 2 years of dedicated cardiac and vascular nursing experience
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility
• Scrub experience required, including cardiac and vascular cases
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIHSS preferred/required per unit guidelines
• Epic experience required
• Strong experience with cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, and transplant procedures
• Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Ability to meet compliance requirements and credentialing timelines

Responsibilities

• Provide circulating and scrub support in a busy CVOR environment
• Assist with complex cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and transplant surgeries
• Support procedures such as CABG, valve cases, AAA repair, TEVAR, EVAR, LVAD/RVAD, and other advanced cardiovascular operations
• Maintain sterile technique, surgical safety, and adherence to universal protocol standards
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies for high-acuity surgical cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and operating room teammates to ensure safe, efficient workflow
• Document accurately in Epic and follow established charting standards
• Respond effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand surgical setting
• Support excellent patient outcomes through strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork
