Job Requirements
- Active RN license eligible for practice in Virginia
- Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- NIH certification required
- HWC completed on-site
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach to patient care
- Ability to care for patients of all ages in a high-acuity acute care environment
- Travel candidates must meet applicable distance requirements
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care to Med/Surg patients across all age groups
- Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and communicate effectively with the care team
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and physician orders
- Document patient care accurately and maintain timely charting in the EHR
- Support safe, efficient patient flow within a busy acute care unit
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary staff to promote positive outcomes
- Respond appropriately to changing patient needs and assist with unit-based duties as assigned
- Maintain a professional presence and contribute to a respectful, patient-centered environment
