Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience
  • Current Arizona RN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • EMT certification required
  • Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills
  • Ability to work nights and adapt to a fast-moving clinical environment
  • Experience with Cerner preferred
  • Charge nurse experience preferred
  • Willingness to float as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency room patients using the nursing process
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with hospital policies and nursing standards
  • Use clinical judgment to anticipate patient needs and support safe, effective care delivery
  • Collaborate with physicians, support staff, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
  • Delegate and supervise patient care tasks appropriately based on staff skill and experience
  • Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and professional development
  • Support a safe, organized, and efficient Emergency Department workflow
  • Provide leadership and flexibility in a busy, high-acuity setting
