Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience
- Current Arizona RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- EMT certification required
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills
- Ability to work nights and adapt to a fast-moving clinical environment
- Experience with Cerner preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Willingness to float as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency room patients using the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with hospital policies and nursing standards
- Use clinical judgment to anticipate patient needs and support safe, effective care delivery
- Collaborate with physicians, support staff, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
- Delegate and supervise patient care tasks appropriately based on staff skill and experience
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and professional development
- Support a safe, organized, and efficient Emergency Department workflow
- Provide leadership and flexibility in a busy, high-acuity setting
