- Position: NICU Registered Nurse
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Setting: 4-8 bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Location: Frankfort, KY 40601
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience in a hospital or acute care setting
- Active Kentucky RN license at the time of submission
- BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- Strong neonatal assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
- Experience with STABLE and delivery team support preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based neonatal care environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients based on acuity and census
- Perform IV starts, lab draws, medication administration, and routine assessments
- Maintain UVC/UAC lines and support ongoing neonatal interventions
- Assist providers with intubation, chest tube placement, and umbilical line placement
- Support neonatal procedures and collaborate closely with physicians and the care team
- Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Deliver safe, compassionate, family-centered care in a specialized neonatal environment
