Job Details

• Setting: Operating Room / Level 1 Trauma Center
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Duration: 17 weeks
• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts; rotating day/evening/night coverage as needed
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
• Additional Scheduling Needs: On-call/callback, floating, holidays, and weekends per unit needs

Job Requirements

• Active New York State RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience required
• Level 1 trauma hospital experience strongly preferred
• Ability to scrub and circulate required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• ACLS preferred
• Telemetry experience highly desired
• Experience with specialty surgical cases such as transplants, plastics, reconstructive procedures, and craniotomy preferred
• Strong orthopedic background highly valued

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties
• Scrub and circulate for procedures in orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma cases
• Support high-acuity and complex surgeries in a busy Level 1 trauma environment
• Assist with transplant procedures, including liver, kidney, and heart cases
• Work effectively with advanced robotic surgical technology, including DaVinci systems
• Respond to unit needs including call, callback, weekends, holidays, and floating assignments
• Deliver safe, patient-focused care while collaborating with the surgical team to maintain efficient OR flow
