Job Details

• Position: Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RNFA)
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Job
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,600-$3,790
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Shift Pattern: Primarily weekdays, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM and 11:00 AM-11:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities as needed
• Contract Length: 17 weeks
• Openings: 2
• Location: Rochester, NY

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of cardiac RNFA experience
• Active New York State RN license
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Current AHA ACLS certification
• CNOR certification required
• Telemetry experience required
• Ability to work in a high-acuity cardiac operating room and perioperative environment
• Experience with complex cardiac and thoracic procedures preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with chest exposure and surgical closing procedures
• Independently perform vein harvesting for CABG cases
• Support first assist needs for cardiac surgeries, including robotic cases when applicable
• Scrub and circulate complex cardiac procedures as needed
• Contribute to cases involving CABGs, structural heart procedures, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, and heart failure interventions
• Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care in collaboration with the surgical and perioperative team
• Adapt to on-call needs and unit workflow while maintaining strong clinical standards
