- Schedule Notes: No on-call, no weekends, and block scheduling available
- Float Requirement: May float between Pre-Op, Post-Op, and PACU
- Patient Ratio: 1-3
Job Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing; compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
- At least 1 year of PACU, Pre-Op, or Post-Op nursing experience required
- Experience in perioperative nursing and recovery care across all phases of the surgical patient journey
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Ability to care for adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
- Strong clinical background with patient ratio experience in the 1-5 range
- Flexibility to support a variety of procedural and recovery cases
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality recovery care to patients in Pre-Op, PACU, and Post-Op settings
- Monitor patients following anesthesia and procedural interventions
- Perform comprehensive assessments and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Support recovery by managing pain, sedation, airway needs, and discharge readiness
- Prepare patients and families with clear education and post-procedure instructions
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team to ensure smooth patient flow
- Document accurately in Epic and maintain compliance with unit standards
- Contribute to a calm, efficient, and compassionate recovery environment
