Experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Join a dynamic maternity care team in a busy birth center environment, supporting mothers and babies with high-acuity obstetric care in one of Colorado’s most desirable healthcare locations.

- Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80909
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
- Schedule: Nights, various days of the week
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,180 - $2,290
- Setting: Birth center / Labor & Delivery
- Start Date: September 14, 2026
- On-Call: Required per unit need
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, per unit needs
- Floating: May float within the service line and, when needed, to another nearby facility
- Charting System: Epic
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, AWHONN Advanced, and FHM certifications required
- Experience with high-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care
- Proficiency with Epic charting required
- Strong clinical background in obstetric assessment and fetal monitoring
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced unit with a 2:1 patient ratio
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, safe patient care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Assist with inductions, C-sections, cerclage, D&C, and other obstetric procedures
- Support high-risk pregnancies, including patients requiring magnesium, insulin, or pitocin therapy
- Perform fetal monitoring, triage, and comprehensive patient assessments in a high-acuity environment
- Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth experience
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold best practices in patient care, safety, and quality
