• Weekly Hours: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Required, with approximately 6-7 weekend shifts during the contract
• Orientation: 28 hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in the specialty within the last 3 years
• Experience in multiple ICU settings required, such as Neuro ICU, CVICU, Burn ICU, Trauma ICU, MSICU, or Progressive/IMC settings
• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS and TNCC preferred or required based on placement needs
• Epic charting experience required
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start
• Experience with trauma-level I patients required
• Ability to float as needed across critical care units
• Strong basic arrhythmia knowledge required

Critical Care Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to adult and geriatric critical care patients
• Monitor and respond to complex patient conditions in a high-acuity ICU environment
• Care for patients requiring advanced interventions, monitoring, and frequent reassessment
• Support care in multiple units as needed, including Neuro ICU, CV/CT ICU, Burn ICU, Trauma ICU, and MSICU
• Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
• Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and support ventilated or hemodynamically unstable patients
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated, high-quality care
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols and safety standards
• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs while maintaining professionalism and teamwork
