- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Shift Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
- Weekend Coverage: Required
- Floating: May be required to float within the organization as needed
- Patient Ratio: 1:4 on days, nights, and weekends
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- EPIC experience required
- Experience caring for adult neuro and stepdown patients strongly preferred
- Ability to work rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable floating to other units as needed
- Strong clinical background in stroke and neurological nursing care
- Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult PCU patients with neurological and medical-surgical needs
- Monitor and assess patients with stroke, CVA, craniotomy, intracranial bleed, and other neuro diagnoses
- Administer and manage therapies such as TNK and post-TPA care
- Support patients requiring lumbar drains, heparin protocols, and dysrhythmia management
- Perform thorough assessments, interventions, and documentation in EPIC
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary support services to promote safe, effective patient care
- Maintain infection control and isolation precautions while delivering compassionate bedside care
- Adapt to changing patient needs and assist with float assignments when required
