Travel Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Ortho, Med-Surg Adult & Med-Surg Peds in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel RN
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Schedule: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, 36 hours per week, with every other weekend
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 - $1,940
• Unit: Med/Surg Ortho, Med-Surg Adult, and Med-Surg Peds
• Setting: General Med/Surg inpatient unit with medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and occasional pediatric care
• Location: Saint Johnsbury, Vermont 05819

Job Requirements

• Active Vermont RN license or compact multi-state RN licensure
• Minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification required
• Meditech experience preferred
• Experience providing care for primarily adult patients, with occasional pediatric patients
• Ability to work night shifts, every other weekend, and in a collaborative healthcare team environment
• Influenza vaccination required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process to guide clinical decisions
• Coordinate and deliver care for adult and pediatric patients in a Med/Surg hospital setting
• Support patients with medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, and swing bed needs
• Work closely with the Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and Nursing Supervisor
• Promote holistic patient care by addressing physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual needs
• Accurately document and communicate patient status in a timely manner
• Maintain a safe, compassionate, and efficient patient care environment
