• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
• Type: Travel nursing assignment
• Location: Wheeling, West Virginia
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule Options: 4 10-hour shifts or 3 12-hour shifts
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating schedule
• Hours per Week: 36-40 hours
• On-Call / Weekend Coverage: Participation in weekend rotation and on-call scheduling required, including one weekend call day and one weekend scheduled shift per 4-week schedule
• Setting: Acute care operating room / surgical center support

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing or surgical services experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• Strong IV skills required
• Experience with surgical care, perioperative nursing, and robotics preferred
• Comfortable working in a high-volume OR environment with multiple daily cases
• Ability to participate in rotating weekends, call coverage, holidays, and occasional midnights as needed
• Open to floating to the OR holding area when required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative, preoperative, and surgical nursing care
• Prepare patients for surgery and support safe, efficient workflow throughout the surgical day
• Assist with a wide variety of procedures, including same-day and overnight cases
• Maintain strong IV access skills and support surgical readiness
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the broader OR team to ensure smooth case progression
• Deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity acute care setting
• Support weekend, holiday, and call rotation requirements as scheduled
• Float to the OR holding area when needed to assist patient flow and care coordination
