Join a fast-paced Emergency Department as a Travel Registered Nurse in Brownwood, Texas. This 13-week night assignment offers the opportunity to deliver excellent patient care in a busy community hospital that serves neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. - Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Coverage: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Call: One on-call shift per 6-week schedule
- Patient Ratio: 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
- Charting System: Altera preferred
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 - $1,910
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing or related service line experience
- Prior travel nurse experience preferred
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
- Experience caring for patients across neonate, pediatric, adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations
- Ability to complete required lab items within 72 hours of offer acceptance
- Resume and certification verification required with submittal
- Must be able to meet facility onboarding and documentation deadlines
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled emergency nursing care in a high-volume Emergency Department
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, and ongoing patient monitoring
- Support patients with chest pain, stroke symptoms, trauma, respiratory issues, psychiatric emergencies, and other acute conditions
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and assist with advanced emergency interventions as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure safe, efficient patient care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support smooth patient flow
- Respond effectively to urgent and emergent situations with professionalism and confidence
- Deliver compassionate care while maintaining strong clinical standards in a fast-paced ER setting
